About This Place

Nestled in the heart of downtown Clinton, South Carolina, The Pasture offers a delightful culinary experience that celebrates classic American fare with a refined, Southern twist. This inviting restaurant, located at 208 N. Broad St, is quickly becoming a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike who crave hearty, well-crafted dishes in a warm, welcoming setting.

The Pasture’s menu is a parade of richly satisfying flavors, highlighted by standout dishes that are both comforting and elevated. Carnivores will be enthralled by their perfectly cooked steaks—including the succulent 12oz Ribeye and the robust New York Strip—each boasting a juicy, tender bite that melts on the palate. The Beef Medallions, served alongside crisp bacon-wrapped asparagus, are another crowd favorite, skillfully prepared to preserve bold savory notes and beautiful texture.

For lighter yet equally memorable fare, the Chicken Alfredo delivers creamy, garlicky bliss balanced with perfectly al dente pasta, while the Shrimp and Grits evoke the heart of Southern cooking with its rich, soulful depth. Seafood lovers will appreciate the Fried Fish paired with fluffy garlic mashed potatoes or the classic Fish and Fries, both prepared with a golden, crispy crust and fresh flavors.

The Pasture doesn’t shy away from irresistible sides and appetizers either: their Brussel Sprouts are famously “the bomb,” roasted to a caramelized perfection with a hint of smoky bacon, and the sweet potato fries come drizzled with honey and sprinkled with brown sugar, creating a harmony of sweet and savory that guests rave about. Crisp side and garden salads, and creamy mac and cheese, round out the meal offerings beautifully.

No meal at The Pasture is complete without a taste of their Premier Coconut Cake—a luscious, moist dessert layered with tropical notes that provide a perfect sweet finish to a satisfying meal.

Beyond the food, The Pasture shines through its attentive and knowledgeable staff who ensure guests feel valued and well cared-for from the moment they step inside. Diners consistently remark on the warm atmosphere and the seamless, thoughtful service that complements the robust menu. Even when faced with challenges—like limited kitchen availability during late visits—the team’s professionalism shines through with thoughtful accommodations, leaving customers impressed and eager to return.

Whether you’re stopping in for a comforting Turkey Sandwich with cranberry aioli at lunch or indulging in a hearty half rack of ribs for dinner, The Pasture provides a memorable dining experience rooted in quality ingredients, generous portions, and an unmistakable Southern charm. It’s a hidden gem where every bite tells a story of care, flavor, and community spirit.

I'm glad I discovered this hidden gem of a restaurant in Clinton. The staff were very friendly and were quick to let us know of any issues with our orders. Since we did come in the last hour, the kitchen was running out of a lot of food options... the most remarkable being half the steaks on the menu. We were compensated with our bill, however. The food overall is good with some dishes that were particularly delicious (the meat selections) due to it being a steakhouse. The dining area was a bit cramped, but we could get around. The bathrooms were relatively clean, just like the rest of the restaurant. The only real negative of this restaurant was the kitchen running out of food quickly, but that was due, in part, to our late arrival. Overall, the restaurant is a very family-friendly place that emphasizes Christian values and sources ingredients from local farmers. I would recommend coming to this restaurant if you're passing through Clinton. Oh, and they do not sell alcohol.

The food is great but the menu and prices are odd. If you order an entre you don't get any sides. Sides are instead called "shareables" and are intended for 2-3 people. Not even a soup or side salad. Small yeast rolls are complimentary. The appetizers and desserts are 10$ or more. I'm not sure if that's the same deal as with the sides/shareables but it's possible that's the case. The food is delicious and it is possible this might be the best place to eat in downtown Clinton.... They really should tweak the prices/menu and/or educate their patrons as it's a nonstandard dining experience.

We ate local to stop in for the night. We were all very satisfied with the portion, taste for what we paid. I had the country fried steak which I can say is the Best I've ever had. Overall I highly recommend this place.

We were in Clinton today and tried a new restaurant - The Pasture! Really nice restaurant in the downtown area of Clinton. The wait staff was attentive to our needs and kept our drinks full. We tried the sweet potato fries to start our meal off with. They are really good. They are drizzled with honey and have brown sugar on them as well. Worth every penny they charge for these ($7). I wanted the half rack of ribs but they were sold out as it's a favorite item that a lot of customers order. Instead, I got the smothered chopped steak. Really good and the bed of rice that it was on was equally as good! My wife had the Chicken Alfredo fettuccine. Really good and tasty. The side of crispy Brussel sprouts with balsamic vinegar was very good. Something different. The restaurant is clean and well lit. There are several city parking spaces out front, but the most available spots will be one business down to the east in a city parking lot. We enjoyed our time trying the new restaurant. We definitely recommend it and will be coming back!

Greeted us immediately! Sat us to a table as soon as they could clean one and have it ready...2 min! Service was impeccable. We wanted for nothing. Our waitress was knowledgeable of the menu and aided in our choices for dinner. A+ THEIR BRUSSEL SPOUTS ARE THE BOMB! The bacon wrapped asparagus was absolutely delicious and done to perfection! I ordered the beef medallions and they were prepared and cooked to my desired tenderness! I wiped the plate clean! The atmosphere and the instrumental Christian music playing softly was a added touch to the dining experience! We WILL be back!

This was our first time here and we were so blessed by the little Restraunt with a big heart. The ladies welcomed us and took our order and delivered the best home cooked meal. The BEST homemade fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, cooked cabbage, cornbread and tea for me and a HUGE salad for my friend! It was amazing and they were packed for lunch today. Both waitresses helped each other out and everyone was served with a smile and asking how everything was several times during the meal and we didn’t have to ask for refills! Thank you for being such a blessing as my friend and I traveled over an hour to meet. You were warm and accommodating and the restroom and restraunt were clean too. May God continue to bless you as you serve Him

The dining room is small but sufficient. So happy to finally have a place for a quality steak in Clinton. My husband ordered the filet rare and it just melted in your mouth. I had the strip, also rare and it was great. I preferred the seasoning on my strip to that on the filet. Our steaks came with baked potatoes and salad. I added a side of brussel sprouts and was so happy I did. They were divine. We also had the onion straw appetizer, which I will order again. The onion was breaded perfectly and great with the dipping sauce. We split a piece of coconut cake for dessert. The piece of cake was huge. It came out warm with the icing melting off but I wouldn't have wanted it any other way, it was great. Great date night restaurant.

Stopped in on our way to Columbia, SC, and we're so glad we did. The food is excellent and the service is perfect! Extra special are their non-traditional menu items like the Firecracker Stick appetizers. I'm definitely adding this restaurant as a regular stop.
